.Sidi Bou Said (Arabic: سيدي بو سعيد‎) is a town in northern Tunisia located about 20 km from the capital, Tunis.

The town got its name for a Muslim religious figure who lived there, Abou Said ibn Khalef ibn Yahia Ettamini el Beji (before he came along, it was called Jabal el-Menar). The town itself is a tourist attraction as it is known for the extensive use of blue and white colors all over the town. All kinds of souvenirs (some not even remotely connected to Sidi Bou Said and sometimes not to Tunisia itself) can be bought in the main street. While staying in Sidi Bou Said for a few days is not common, tourists from Hammamet and other tourist towns usually come to Sidi Bou Said. It can be reached by a TGM train, which runs from Tunis to La Marsa.

Le tourisme en Tunisie est l'un des secteurs les plus dynamiques de l'économie de la Tunisie et une source de devises pour le pays. Le tourisme a un effet d'entraînement sur d'autres secteurs économiques, tels que le transport, les communications, l'artisanat, le commerce et le bâtiment. La Tunisie  est un milieu qui attire les touristes de différentes  partie du monde c'est vrai que le nombre des touristes a diminuer :c'est due  a l'etat instable (après  la révolution ) mais l’état commence a s’améliorer  et les touristes trouvent que la Tunisie est plus stable qu'avant  et ils avouent qu'ils sont bien recueillie  .

La confiance des touristes  pour les régions touristiques tunisiennes s’est de nouveau fortement accrue lors des six premiers mois de 2012.
les touristent trouvent que la tunisie est un milieu agreble pour passer  ses vacances avec la famille .

Pour le deuxième été après le Printemps arabe, l’Office National du Tourisme Tunisien (ONTT) observe une hausse d’environ 65% des entrées de touristes suisses par rapport à l’année précédente. Les Tours opérateurs interviewés sont particulièrement optimistes pour le marché tunisien et annoncent une augmentation variant entre 50 et 100% pour le premier semestre de l’année. Des témoignages filmés par le siège de l’ONTT en Tunisie en juin et publiés sur Youtube montrent des touristes européens enthousiasmés par la qualité de l’offre touristique et très confiants envers ce pays ouvert et accueillant du bassin méditerranéen.
